With the fourth of July just around the corner I wanted to feature this adorable new board book: You're My Little Firecracker. Here's an excerpt from the first page: "You're my little firecracker, you're my fourth of July. You make my heart light up and you bring color to my sky."
While the board book doesn't mention anything about the meaning of the fourth of July, as a board book it simply introduces children to some of the items they might see on the fourth of July such as firecrackers, hot dogs, balloons, and American flags. The last page is my favorite: "You're my little Stars and Stripes, you keep my head held high. Every day you make me proud, I love when you're nearby."
