Thank you to Amicus Publishing for these two additions to the Little Animal Friends series. Both of these board books highlight the adventurous, risk-taking nature of little ones as they discover the world around them. Mama Walrus and Mama Otter, however, aren't far behind. Written in rhyme and illustrated with a dazzling likeness to these creatures natural habitat, Little Walrus and Little Otter convey a parent-child relationship that is loving, nurturing, supportive, and safe. The full page illustrations are also a lovely choice as they maintain the board book's simplicity and allow space for the illustrations to be larger, which I always think is nice for little ones.
