My posts have been more infrequent as of late due to spending most of my time with our seven month old, but I'm excited to share Tractor Dance, which was brought to my attention by the author, Matt Forrest Esenwine. The perfect book for fall (somehow tractors have become a staple of autumn in my mind), this board book will have little ones on their feet dancing and laughing as they do a jig, a slow walk, a pirouette, a shimmy-shake, or a polka. A board book that reminds me of Snowmen at Night because of how the farm tools and machines transform at night (just like the snowmen), Tractor Dance is a cheerful story that gives life to typical farm tools and vehicles.
I especially enjoyed the illustrations by Jen Taylor and how she was able to capture the magic of moon and starlit skies.
A rhyming gem that children will want to read over and over again!
Enjoy!
