A board book that I've had on my list for a while, Raven Squawk, Orca Squeak is a vibrantly illustrated board book that introduces little ones to the sounds of the west coast through the eyes of renowned Indigenous artist, Roy Henry Vickers. With a tactile gloss finish, little fingers will love the feel of this book as you can drag your fingers across streaks of rain, feel the bumpiness of snowflakes, or the swirly ripples of the water. Written in rhyme this book is perfect for a cozy story time as the simple repetition of sounds are soothing. Although, if you're reading it to toddlers I'm sure the squawking part of the book will definitely be cause for some energetic noise making!
