The autumn colors on the cover of Who's Hiding in the Woods? seemed like a good board book choice for this slightly-drizzly New England fall day. With more than 20 lift-the-flaps, which toddlers seem to never tire of (in my experience, at least) illustrator Katharine McEwen and Nosy Crow have created a lovely series for kids which includes Who's Hiding at the Beach? Who's Hiding on Safari? Who's Hiding on the Farm? Who's Hiding in the Jungle, and Who's Hiding on the River?
With pages full of busy animals and bright, colorful illustrations, Who's Hiding in the Woods? is a great addition to a baby or toddler's library and I always think that interactive lift-the-flap books are the perfect type of book to have handy in a diaper bag for those times when you're stuck in traffic and little ones start to get fussy, or at the doctor's office, or at a restaurant waiting for food.
