This week we've been talking a lot about Thanksgiving and while our son doesn't read too many board books anymore, Otis is a favorite literary friend, and whether Otis presents himself in the form of a softcover book, hardcover book, or board book, our son is excited to hear about Otis's latest adventures. While Otis Gives Thanks doesn't have any new adventures in it, the book makes references to previous adventures and lists the many things that Otis is thankful for -- including hard work, celebrations, peace, faith, and love.
A book that not only brings favorite literary friends together again for all to enjoy, but also a book that provides children with an example of thanks for the many meaningful people, activities, and places in their lives.
Is there a favorite Thanksgiving-themed book that your children love? I always remembering reading Cranberry Thanksgiving as a kid. It's still a favorite.
