A perfect book for Valentine's Day, If Kisses Were Colors is beautifully illustrated by acclaimed artist, Alison Jay. Her use of alkyd paint and a crinkle varnish to make her illustrations look aged is one of her unique signatures. The bright blues, pale yellows and pinks are especially my favorite.
