With illustrations by Tomie dePaola, Little Poems for Tiny Ears gives children a colorful introduction to poems. While I like some of the poems more than others, I think all of them are very relevant to a child's world and will easily become bedtime favorites.
Here's one that I especially like.
La dee dum and la dee dee,
My mobile circles over me.
Dangling dinos, nubby sheep
Swirl round and round to help me sleep.
The happy music plays and then
I listen while it plays again.
More twinkling, twirling like a top.
Will my mobile ever stop?
