I can't say enough good things about this book. An instant favorite from the minute I read it. Peekaboo Morning follows a little boy as he plays peekaboo with meaningful people and things in his life -- mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, a friend, his dog, a train.
The joy and realism we see in Rachel Isadora's illustrations makes the reader feel intimately present in the boy's game of peekaboo and points to the strong connection many children have with parents and grandparents.
One thing I particularly like about this book is that the boy's game of peekaboo is happening at the start of his day. Since so many children's books are about the routine of going to sleep it is refreshing to read a book that emphasizes the beauty of starting the day off right with those you love. A book to read over and over again Peekaboo Morning is sure to become a household favorite for you and your little ones.
