With strawberry season in full swing, I thought this book was appropriate. Our son is still too young to remember picking strawberries and blueberries last year, but after reading though The Very Berry Counting Book (at least ten times today), I think he'll be excited to pick berries this year.
Joy Newton does a detailed, attractive job with the illustrations, and while I'm not a big fan of counting books, I think this one shows children the progression of numbers nicely as each page adds another type of fruit.
